JACK DAVIES & THE BUSHCHOOKS

Presented by Archive Mid North Coast
Jack Davies and his elusive band of Bush Chooks are heading to NSW for a run of intimate full band shows. Featuring a mix of old, new, and unreleased music. Don’t miss out on this once off opportunity. Tickets are on sale now.

Jack is a celebrated Australian songwriter, well known for his slick finger picking and rambling poetics. Performing both solo and with his alt folk rock outfit "The Bush Chooks", the West Aus folksinger has built a dedicated national audience; releasing three records, taking home WA's best folk/songwriter act four years running, and touring to sold out rooms across the country. From singing about seagulls to mumbling poems of sorrow, Jack's songs like to laugh, poke and longingly stare at the world. Be sure not to miss this unique blend of spoken word, folk picking, sad singing and indi acoustic weirdery.

I SHALL BE RELEASED - A Tribute to Bob Dylan

Celebrate Bob Dylan’s legacy this Autumn on Friday May 23rd, with ‘I Shall Be Released’, a heartfelt tribute to one of the most influential songwriters of our time. This special evening at Coramba Hall will feature an exceptional lineup of NSW and QLD’s finest singer-songwriters, each offering their unique take on Dylan's iconic songs, spanning over six decades of music.

After a string of sold-out shows across South East Queensland and NSW over the past 10 years, Sunshine Coast troubadour Pat Tierney teams up with Archive Mid North Coast to bring the event down South once again to share the magic with NSW audiences. The night promises an eclectic mix of performances, each paying homage to Dylan’s genius, with songs that have resonated through generations.

“The events have been a huge success, and we wanted to bring the tradition to the coast and introduce it to new fans in NSW. It’s always been amazing to see how wide-ranging the crowd is, from die-hard fans to younger listeners discovering more of Dylan’s deep catalogue. It just shows how universal his songs are,” says Pat Tierney, who has been a lifelong admirer of Dylan.

First launched in 2012, ‘I Shall Be Released’ has grown into a celebration of both Dylan’s incredible catalog and the vibrant local music scene, with Australian independent artists coming together to honor the man who helped shape modern music.

Join us this May for an unforgettable night of music, memories, and the spirit of Bob Dylan.
